acetone, dimethylketone,
methylacetyl, ketopropane, propanone. Colourless, flammable
liquid with a characteristic smell. Soluble in water,
alcohol, ether, chloroform, most volatile oils. Formula:
CH2COCH3 Latin name: acetonum. Used to
degrease surfaces
