Blind printing
When printing an intaglio plate it sometimes happens that a line is not printed
either because it did not receive a proper inking or then because not enough pressure
was applied. The consequence is that the inking of the line may be interrupted in
one or more places. If the line is looked at with a magnifying glass you will see
the typical raised portion of the intaglio line which has not however received any
inking.[inking,
etching,
wiping,
friar,
pressure].
