CristalRaster
A
process which Agfa have developed to generate a halftone which is
free from
moiré
patterns. The CristalRaster screen, when used with correctly prepared
plates and multi-coloured presses, produces printed images which
appear to have a continuous tone or photographic quality. A
CristalRaster screen can be printed onto film at a bureau and used in
the double exposure of pad printing plates. A CristalRaster has a
random dot structure while others screens have a pattern in the dot
structure.
