Cut outs
Figure cut out of various materials may be used to hide a surface or as a kind of a
stencil. In silkscreening one of the techniques used to prepare the screen for
printing is to place cut-outs on it. Such cut-outs are made with a specially
prepared film which is first cut into the desired shape and then glued to the
silkscreen before printing.
