felt tip engraving
A process used by the engraver Hayter, since the Second World War, which consists in drawing onto a clean plate (free of any grease traces) with a tip and xylol ink. Such drawings resist the biting process for a short span of time. Due to this characteristic the results of felt tip work depend on the amount of ink deposited on the plate.
