india ink
A very black ink used to make preparatory drawings on
wood and as one of the ingredients in the
sugar lift technique. In
serigraphy, India ink is used to draw on
transparent films which are then transferred photographically onto a silkscreen.
The India ink used in serigraphy is, however, specially prepared since it must "etch"
the plastic sheet and, at the same time be particularly opaque.
[ink].
