Mercury chloride
mercuric chloride, corrosive mercury chloride; (corrosive) sublimate; mercury protochloride; perchloride of mercury; bichloride of mercury; mercury bichloride. White crystals or powder. Poisonous. May be fatal if swallowed. Do not breathe dust. Soluble in water, alcohol, ether, pyridine and acetic acid ester. Formula; HgCl2. Latin name: chloretum hydrargyrium.
