point
engraver
Also called an
onglette graver. The
point graver is a very fine graver used for engraving on both wood
and metal. Its section is oval and the end is cut diagonally thus
forming a shape resembling a finger nail. This shape is responsible
for the name of this kind of graver in French since the word
onglette means, quite
literally, small finger nail.
