This is a shellac-based stop-out Varnish. It is used as an alternative to asphalt-based stop-out varnishes. This varnish is formulated to dry immediately, and will not break down with repeated immersions in an acid bath. Its transparent red colour enables you to see easily which parts of the image have already been stopped out.
User instructions: apply with a brush and let dry. If the liquid is too thin, let it stand open for a while. If the liquid is too thick, delute it with alcohol.
Remarks: this can be dangerous to your health! Flammable. If swallowed, induce vomiting by drinking warm water with salt. Contact a doctor immediately. Keep out of reach of children.

Warning - Denatured with metyl alcohol, a poisonous material which, if taken internally, causes blindness or death. It cannot be made non-poisonous. Vapour harmful - avoid prolonged or repeated breathing of vapor. Eye irritant
Antidote - in case of contact with eyes, flush thorougly with water. If swallowed, give a table spoon of salt in a glass of warm water, induce vomiting and repeat until vomiting liquid is clear. Give two teaspoonfuls of baking soda in a glass of water. Have patient lie down and keep warm, cover eyes to exclude light. Call a physician immediately. FLAMMABLE. Keep out of reach of children.
