Laurier paper is made of 100% cotton, weight 250 gram. a natural white paper, recommended for intaglio but also used for other printmaking techniques. As the paper is made with cotton fibres, it will give a good strength and has a soft feeling. It is engine (starch) sized (internally sized) and is alkaline buffered. Appearance is more smooth and textured than Salland. Absorption of ink is very good. Acid free, pH neutral, chlorine free, alkaline buffered, and has 2 natural deckle edges. The surface is smooth and it has a soft feeling. As there are no optical brighteners, it can be used for archival quality. It meets ISO 9706 (but is not certified).
