50% cotton, 50% high alpha cellulose, pH neutral, acid free, white, C.P. (cold pressed = smooth surface) a general printmaking paper, machine sized. Preferred for etching, lithography, screen print, relief printing and embossing. Incisioni is one of the first premier printmaking papers every produced at Cartiere Magnani. Incisioni is a 50% cotton, white paper that is smooth with a slight tooth (not a plate finish). It has a soft feel, especially considering that it is both internally and externally sized. The paper (220 gram) has gained enormous popularity as a versatile printmaking paper, especially all intaglio processes. The sheet is also very suitable for all drawing techniques; graphite pencil, pastel, pen & ink, and will fair extremely well for most wet media applications due to the internal and external sizing characteristics. |
