Printing techniques and choosing ink, additives and paper.

Reductieve Monotype (roll in the plate with ink and remove it partly afterwards).
Use Akua Intaglio ink from the can as it is.. Transparent Base can be added. When printing with an etching press, use dry and extra smooth paper. If the paper has a rough surface , humidify it. If using the PinPress use very smooth paper (wet or dry)

Additive Monotype (painting the plate with a brush)
Make it thinner with Blending Medium. When printing on an etching press, use dry ad extra smooth paper or humidified paper. If a Pin Press is used , use very smooth dry or wet paper.

Relief printing (woodcut, linocut), typography
Use the ink as it is in the can or make it stiffer with Stiffener (Mag Mix) and/or magnesium carbonate. Print with a baren or etching press (or relief press).

Intaglio / Etching
Use the ink as it is in the can or make it stiffer with Stiffener (Mag Mix) and/or magnesium carbonate. When printing with an etching press, use dry and extra smooth paper. If the paper has a rough surface , humidify it.

Dry point
Use Akua Intaglio ink from the can as it is.. Transparent Base can be added. When printing with an etching press, use dry and extra smooth paper. If the paper has a rough surface , humidify it.

Carborundum print / Collagraph
Use Akua Intaglio ink from the can as it is.. Transparent Base can be added. When printing with an etching press, use dry and extra smooth paper. If the paper has a rough surface , humidify it.
