Etching needles, lithography needels Friedrich Dick.

This tool is usually used for drawing an image in the etching ground. Etching needles and lithographic needles are not intended for use as ‘dry points’ as they are not mechanically strong enough for this purpose. In lithography, these needles can be used to make manual corrections on the lithographic stone.

This is a special set of tools. These tools are used to clean ‘nozzles’ (= small openings through which liquid flows). In German, this is called ‘Düsen-Reibahlen-Satz’ or in English ‘Set of nozzle broaches’.
In engraving, this set can be used as etching needles or lithographic needles. These are very fine needles, not round, but five-sided. These flat sides are useful in the actual application for cleaning small openings.
The set consists of twelve needles, increasing in diameter from 0.5 to 2.0 mm. The needles can be clamped into the metal holder. Please note that this holder is only suitable for needles from 0-1 mm. Other holders are available on request. The needles and holder are supplied in a plastic box.
