The proportions of these components depend on the hardness of the crayon. Shellack is not present in the greasy and soft crayons. Lithographic crayon is normally available in five different hardnesses. The lower the number, the greasier and the softer. |
This is the same material as the small square crayons, but in the shape of a rectangular tablet. So, don't use it as "rubbing ink"... This tablet is used to draw directly on the stone. Because of its size, best for making surfaces ( tone values in back ground, etc.) |
