Compared to Vélin Arches; lesser sizing, smoother and whiter surface. Produced on a mould machine, 100 % cotton. Depending on the length of the fibres, cotton is often stronger than cellulose. Machine sized, (antique finish).
Because of the soft cotton surface, this paper will produce the finest details, 100 % cotton, mould made. BFK Rives means: Blanchet Frères & Kiebler. They were the owners of this papermill in Rives (near Lyon), at the beginning of the 19th century. Acid free, calcium carbonate buffered. Long lasting paper.
