hydrogen ion concentration
A method of determining and indicating the acidity or alkalinity of a liquid. The scale runs from pH 0 to pH 14, pH 7.0 being the neutral point. Values below 7.0 for instance pH 6.0 indicate an acid condition, while values above pH 7.0 for instance pH 8.0, denote alkalinity. See pH Value
